TO TRAIPSE ALONE...
08:34
|
|||
No peace in swallowing these years
To traipse alone, the heart thronged sphere
Time renders me
A handle without a door
A wrist without an arm
Starkly bound and absent
Lush is my health,
Forever blooming over senile decay
Yet ignominious is my vessel,
A feast for transient eyes
What they seek from me, they call a gift
Yet they don't see my hole
Further down I shall sift
This gated isthmus in perpetuum
My fears
Seizing my fate
Turning the world
Unto me
My fears
Changing the walls
Turning the world
Unto Me

...THIS LISTLESS WORLD
06:36
|
|||
I cast my faith,
Beneath the veil
For what is lost,
Is locked away
We can’t escape the teeth of seasons
Much like the flowers chased from bloom.
I’ve seen them pierce the vein of reason.
I’ve watched them steal away from you.
The path we often walk,
A fickle one.
With intention unclear,
Our presence is numb.
The thrum of this listless world,
Palls the spires of our self-control.
This blind naivety
I blame sightless hands,
For why I don’t understand
I blame sightless hands,
For why I don’t understand

As I awoke
I watched life consume itself
Again and again
Useless is the song of man,
From throats calloused by name.
As we offer blood for land,
And strip bare its flesh till naught remains.
Will there be an understanding
Strained from veins before the fall
Or shall we trail behind tails of comets
That’ve burned their way into the eyes of us all
No fathers nor our mothers
Can determine our fate
The hope in which that we wish for
Must be ours to create
This weight
Through which we all must walk
This weight
That which walks through me

Our love
A short fall
Spilled from insurmountable heights
I have been brought here
Time and time again,
To follow my longings call.
A shout that bursts,
Through the silence of unmeaning.
To find you,
Betwixt the waves
I’m falling from you,
In the midst of what we hold.
No promise of will,
Can save us from growing old.
And we’ll sleep,
Through this dream.
To forsake,
The foreseen.
All of this has been decided,
Long before you were born.
Pass with care my patient lover,
From this life you will be torn.
I heard it from the birds,
In the hours of crawling dawn.
That what may be lost with the flesh,
Finds its way to return.
And we’ll stain our teeth,
In the reds of the fleeting sun.
An end in heat,
My bones ache beneath your love.

THE ARROWS OF OUR WAYS
08:45
|
|||
The stakes that lie before the grave
Tie our hands behind,
The flaking truths of man
And as we watch our roots decay
Sitting idly by,
We fail to understand.
How to fill the hole,
And embrace the heart
To shed the weight of autophagy.
Yet with a one-dimensional wisdom
We’d rebuke an infinite glory
Shrouding the light that’s faired all time
Below the shelter,
And above the heights
Of man’s guilded reach
We find a world disconnected
We’ve sown our seed in the spine of the earth
In an attempt to forge our own lines
Yet we’re treading past the point of return
Forming the unseen void
As the arrows of our ways sink beneath the skin,
The blood of our victims we find akin.
To ours to ours to our own
Then the blood flows
And we see ourselves for the first time
Why does the blood have to flow?
And stain the soul of the sum
We must abstain from the instigation
Before the air all life breathes
Is gone
To own
The world
Yet close
The door
We’ve sown our seed in the spine of the earth
Now we must erase the bold lines
In only peace may we return
To a world so warm
When love is the truth, it’s our light
The glowing gateway to the divine
